At St. Hilary of Poitiers School, we see our mission as being stewards of the Gospel message of Jesus. Our stewardship impacts the spiritual, academic, emotional, physical, and social needs of the child.
Our school community, as defined in our philosophy, provides a supportive and caring environment which fosters:
Sustained by our belief that education is an ongoing process, we empower our students with the tools necessary to be educated, involved, and peace-filled citizens of the world who comprehend that the road to peace is a life-long journey reached through understanding and accepting diversity.
St. Hilary of Poitiers School witnesses the Gospel message of Jesus Christ by supporting and contributing to the community on a variety of levels:
FAMILY/Encouragement
Motivated by the well-being of our school community, students will serve as models of faith and family. Parents, as the primary educators of their children, will work in partnership with our school community to promote the values of Christ and instill within each and every child a desire to know God and see Him in everyone they meet.
SCHOOL/Empowerment
Through the integration of modern technologies and innovative curriculums, students will grow intellectually, creatively, and spiritually. These areas of growth will serve as sources of empowerment on a student’s journey of lifelong learning.
PARISH/Partnership
With Christ at the center of our faith-based education, students will strive to live out the Beatitudes and reflect the teachings of Christ in all that they think, do and say, in direct partnership with their Church community.
COMMUNITY/Activism
Through the implementation and daily practice of our PEACE program and in conjunction with our community outreach programs, students will grow in their awareness of themselves and others, assuming responsible positions as leaders within the school, and using these positions to actively work for change within our local communities.
WORLD/Awareness
As contributing members of our global community, students will grow in their awareness of the needs and sufferings of others all over the world. As models of empathy, students will strive to alleviate the sufferings of others through education, outreach, and prayer on a daily basis.
