"St. Hilary School has been a true blessing
to both our children and our family. Being the parents of three
daughters who all have acquired diverse personalities and interests, St.
Hilary School has afforded each one of our children with the confidence
they need to be successful and perform their personal best. St. Hilary
School was the missing "piece of the puzzle" that we needed to help
educate our children both academically and spiritually. As we partnered
together towards one common goal - our children to be confident,
successful and most importantly faith-filled Christians who see God in
everyone they meet, we have been very successful. St. Hilary School is
truly a "one-of-a-kind" school when it comes to teaching the children to
reach out and make a difference in another's life. Our family has been
directly affected by the St. Hilary School community reaching out to
support a worthwhile cause that impacts thousands of children including
our own daughter. We know that Saint Hilary School was the right choice
for our children's education.
St Hilary School has provided all of our children with numerous
opportunities to be involved in both their school and parish. The
ministry that is offered to these children is unfounded. As our oldest
daughter journeys through college, our middle daughter journeys through
high school and our third daughter gets ready to embark in September to
her first choice high school destination, we are confident that all our
girls are ready for the challenges that they will face along life's way
due to the strong foundation St. Hilary School has set for them. As
parents, we are grateful and thankful for the true blessing and
experience of St, Hilary School's education. We know St. Hilary's
School has left an indelible mark on all our children's hearts forever."

"We are glad that we made the choice of St.
Hilary's. This is our first year here and it's been a wonderful
experience. We were having a terrible time with the other school
that our children attended. We wanted our children to have a fresh
start. St. Hilary's has been all that and more. My son was
very unhappy at this other school. I can honestly say he is a
totally different child. He smiles now. It's been so long since I
have seen him smile. He is very happy that we chose St. Hilary's.
Both our kids are thrilled. I am a firm believer in catholic
education. My husband and myself went to a catholic grade school
and high school. You need religion and God in the classroom and at home.
Thank you St. Hilary's for welcoming us and making us feel like part of
the family."

"What a
wonderful day I have had!!! Thank you so much for the opportunity
to spend the day with the Students of St. Hilary’s!! Your students
are marvelous! So wide-eyed and open…their innocence was a gift to
see. The understanding they seemed to possess was amazing for such a
young group. You are doing something very right there to foster this
development. The environment in the school was open and welcoming
and I felt right at home. I was truly amazed at the attention and
compassion shown by the students in each grade. Their questions
were thoughtful and insightful and their behavior was so polite and
respectful, not only to me but to one another as well.
I look forward to seeing them again after Easter.
Until
then, I wish you peace."

"My child is privileged to be a part of the small learning community
that is Saint Hilary of Poitiers. The teaching staff is interested in
new and innovative ways to teach academics. Whether it is through using
technology or contests, they keep the children actively engaged in
learning. More importantly, I see Saint Hilary’s as a place that focuses
on the whole child, a child who is growing spiritually, emotionally, and
intellectually. I believe the environment provided fosters this growth.
Through example, the students learn community outreach, the importance
of tolerance, and self-respect. The energy and dedication of the parents
are also an undeniable and important part of our school. Having recently
changed schools I can clearly see the difference here. I am proud to say
my child is a student of Saint Hilary’s."

"We are so happy we chose St. Hilary's. Our
experience with the teachers and staff has been excellent. The school
has a clear dedication to student well being, growth, and moral
standing. It feels good to have such confidence in the people that are
with our kids day in and day out nine months of the year. We can see
that the school will have lasting positive effects on our children.
We're very glad to have found this school."

"As an out-of-parish family
I’d be happy to share why I changed parishes so that my kids can go to
SHS. We loved the fact that there is only 1 classroom per grade, the
low-turnaround of staff, the student-teacher ratio, it’s great
reputation as the best kept secret and best value for our money. It’s
like our child attending the the private school that we cannot afford.
Our local Catholic school has 3 classes of 33 per grade and my son would
have not gotten the personal attention that he needs to succeed."

"When I began to research
schools for my son in 2008, I began my by researching websites. I was
very impressed by the meaningful content, positive accolades and
continuous new information found on the St. Hilary site. So, before
even visiting the school, I was up-to-date on the events, and I felt
acquainted with the faculty. I arranged a visit and was afforded a
personal tour by the Principal herself, Mrs. Eileen Fagan. My first
impression of the facility was one EXCELLENCE, second; WELCOMING.
Overall, I sensed a strong emphasis on RESPECT. Respect for God, for
superiors, and for fellow students. I have to say that one key decision
factor for me was the Peace Program that is in place at St. Hilary’s.
Other schools may have rules, but the St. Hilary Peace Program teaches a
way of life, which endures with the students beyond St. Hilary’s campus.
My husband and I both have careers which require us to work a full day.
While I was faced with a dilemma, back in 2009, of finding after school
care, I began asking friends and neighbors about options. A neighbor (a
St. Hilary parent) introduced me to another SHS parent, and my dilemma
was resolved. That introduction not only helped with my after school
care need, it blossomed into a great friendship amongst our families.
The very same year that I enrolled my son, Mrs. Fagan, knowing my and a
few other families’ need for after school care, developed an after
school program for the families of St. Hilary’s, called CARES. While we
were just a few families needing a service like this, Mrs. Fagan
developed the program for us. The CARES program is excellent, staffed
by faculty members. My son really enjoys the program. Just one more
benefit of being a part of the St. Hilary’s community. ST. HILARY’S
GETS BETTER EVERY YEAR!"

"I must share my experience here at St. Hilary of Poitiers school.
We came here 8 years ago from another parish. We are presently parish
members. At first we were "out of parish students". We came from a
school were there were difficulties in the school and some difficulties
in the parish as well. I agonized over what I should do "take the kids
out of their parish school and send them out of parish some where else"
or “stay and cross my fingers and hope I could do it myself to bring
their faith into their lives.” Well we set off to St. Albert the Great
on Welsh Rd. I was set to transfer my oldest into third grade and my
next at that time was going to first grade. As it turned out I was
unable to register my first grader, the principal suggested St.
Hilary's. I have never heard of this parish.
I came and it was such a warm inviting community setting. I had set up a
day to shadow and there was an unfortunate tragedy at the school and the
eighth grade teacher had passed away that Friday before. I was asked to
come back. I could see the principal and staff were truly upset but I
also saw the children consoling each other and going to mass to pray for
this teacher and her family. (Not because they had to or were asked to
they were going on their own). We rescheduled and came for our shadow
day. I knew instantly that we have made the right decision.
I can only say if you want your children to have a true "CATHOLIC
EDUCATION' St. Hilary of Poitiers School is the most "CATHOLIC" school I
have ever experienced. My children are learning the true meaning of
their faith and the importance of God's presence in their lives. It is
not abnormal to go to mass every Sunday, it is abnormal NOT TO GO. It is
not abnormal to say the Rosary during lent and it certainly is not
abnormal to have God as the Center of your life. I have been blessed and
have six wonderful children. All of who have attended or are attending
St. Hilary of Poitiers school. The older ones went on to high school
with scholarships and have gone through high school in AP classes and so
far so good, both of them achieving first Honors. With one about to
graduate and attend the college of his choice, and one heading into her
third year of high school, the next graduating this year from St. Hilary
‘s school, and then three remaining in the school, I feel we have made
the best decision for our children academically, socially but most
importantly religiously. I am so happy to say you can not make the wrong
decision if you send your children here at St. Hilary School. Like our
logo says "Right School for Every Child"!!"
